on late-night bakery shops

by andy on October 30th, 2006

Recently Hannes has mentioned a small, but weird, bakery in Vienna’s fourth district which has rather unusual opening hours.

In today’s small hours my bad consciousness took me by not-too-much surprise and made me go out in the pouring rain. I had to bring back and mend something. After feeling released I noticed the urge for sweets and sugar so I went to aforementioned bakery.

It is located in the Kleine Neugasse (or might be the Grosse Neugasse) between the Wiedner Hauptstrasse and the Magarethenstrasse. They open on 6 o’clock in the evening and close either when there’s nothing left to sell or around next day’s noon. It is a weird store, but the donuts are great though! Try it.

Samhain and the dark time comes near, it’s time to reflect.

Decisions made from desperation
No way to go
Internal instincts craving isolation
For me to grow

My fears come alive
In this place where I once died
Demons dreaming
Knowing I…I just needed to realign
