european biker week and the last couple of days.
I’m at the edge of disembarking to the european biker week (also known as Harley-Treffen). I’m camping at the Faaker See till sunday, hope it will be fun despite the bad weather.
The last 12 days were stressful as ever but interesting. 10 Days ago (a tuesday) we didn’t even finish Johnny’s pub quiz because we even thought that we had too few right answers. Well, we’ve got a lot of fun. Lisa brought her cousin Anna and a friend of her, Eva, and we went to the Karaoke bar oposite Johnny’s Irish Pub. I know why I never been in such a establishment. After Lisa forced me to sind two songs with her (horrible german ‘schlager’/pulb songs which I hopefully can forget soon) I tried to redeem myself with ‘wonderwall’. Anna asked me to ‘sing’ a duet, I feared the worst but ended up with the doors – ‘light my fire’.. I like that song, know the lyrics and was highly motivated.. the result was.. interesting. I also tried to inflict some good music taste by singing ‘whiskey in the jar’ before leaving, and was very lucky that the bar was closing before I could sing, nay snort, ‘Last Resort’ by ‘Papa Rouch’.
On the next day we went to watch ‘Miami Vice’ in the Hayden Cinema. Maybe it was just me, or the storyline was broken and just didn’t work.
My father celebrated his 50th birthday on saturday. It was fun even, or better especially, as I had to work behind the counter. At least someone told me after two hours that english beers (i.e. with very few foam) are not universally good and that austrian beers should have a foam crown on top of them.
The beginning of this week was crowded with working for university and getting our new internet server up to work. Yay! blackwhale and snikt will be replaced with a new server.. it is already pushing ~30-40 Gigabyte of tor traffic per day.
I watched the second election year argument between H.C. Strache (brownish scum, Right Wing) and Gusenbauer (social democrats, Left Wing) on wednesday. I’m starting to think that whoever votes for the first one is in dire need of a backbone and/or brain.
Yesterday was marked by extreme archery. I recognized that my archery skills were slacking and just went shooting my bow for a couple of hours. My right arm looks like it (bruises et al). Well, at least I shot around 250 arrows (and I’ve got the pictures of my target as proof) instead of the 18 or so that I was able to shoot at the beginning of summer. Or my bow got lax.. Things I’ll never know. I’m in pain right now: my right arm and lower back hurts ;). In the evening some friends of mine came to visit and we played a round of Axis&Allies. After seven or so hours the game ended, the allies (and I) won.. axis where defeated again.
Enough talked, I’m gonna fetch a tent and a sleeping bag and out to Harley Treffen!
