I’m on a short-term vacation back home in carinthia. It’s already impossible to comprehend how much I missed my old room, safeplace of long-forgotten times. I spent the last day reading, listening to the new Pearl Jam release and old U2 cds (October is still awesome) , meditating, sipping some good wine and trying to regain my inner peace that I thoroughly lacked the last days. The place’s silence, better food and lots of better sleep also help a lot.
This has shown me, that I need a similar place in Vienna. Hopefully I will rent a appartment on wednesday in Vienna and settle down in it through the following weeks.
I got turned back to U2 in the last days. I have changed my opinion that “Pop” was their best CD, to identifing “Eternal Flame” as the band’s best album, but this was also prone to change. Currently I’m believing that “October” is its best. The CD starts with “gloria”, then gots melancholic with “I fall down” and than finds its conclusion in the piano-heavy “October”. This CD is in heavy rotation with Pearl Jam latest, self-titled album which is rough, brutal and uncut.

As I left vienna on short notice, I let my other computer turned on.. through this my ICQ and Jabber contacts stayed up.. so don’t wonder if sent messages never get replied to.
