picture on!

been at the picture on festival in burgenland (eastern austria) with some friends. The line-up wasn’t that great (we watches clawfinger and liquido) but it was cheap indead (10 euros) and not one of the other overblown festivals this summer.

Liquido were interesting: i could sweare that they played tunes from metallica, bob dylan and blink 182 but with their lyrics on it, but they were fun too. Clawfinger was ridden by energy. We we’re some of the not-so-few privileged ones which had a front place (around three meters from the band).. and they totally rocked.

The only obstacle was the journey to the festival. Burgenland is larger than it seems, and there were aboslutly no signs which would lead the way to the festival or the little town it took place in. After spending some time driving in circles and scouting the surounding plains we finally asked a native which could give us rough directins. We found the location by turning to a large light which we saw in the distance..

So my back and neck are hurting, but there’s no time for rest: a bluesfestival will take its place in velden today, I’ve already ordered tickets.
